How long does cosmetic tattoo last?
The pigment is permanently implanted, but fading occurs over time. You will require touch ups over the years to maintain it. Lighter colors will fade faster than the darker colors. The good news is that you are never stuck with a color. It can be modified or changed.

What tool do you use?
I use a rotary machine. It is and electric pen like machine especially designed for cosmetic tattoo. It evenly distributes and implants the color into the dermal layer of the skin. These soft, natural looking colors bring the best out of your features and result in a natural appearance, instead of the harsh traditional tattoo colors |
Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?
A topical anaesthetic is applied, so very little discomfort is experienced. Most of my clients say that the feeling is more a sensation. |
Where do the colors come from?
The pigments come from the United States, and have been made with FDA approved ingredients. The pigments are made of iron oxides, that are dispursed in alcohol and glycerin which are organic substances.
All my pigments are of the highest quality and have been approved for Cosmetic Make up and Paramedical procedures.
Allergies from these gamma sterilized pigments are rare.

How long does each procedure take?
Depends on the area treated. Eyebrows approximately 45 minutes, Full lip creation (includes lipline) about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
What is involved in the healing and post care?
Swelling may last from 2 to 72 hours, this is very individual. Aftercare will be covered before your procedure, and an aftercare sheet is provided for you to take home.
Cosmetic Tattoo will appear extremely intense and thick immediately after the procedure, this will fade in 5 to 10 days. Colours will continue to soften over the next couple of months. |
Do I need to take time off work?
Most people do not need to take time off. Cold packs can be applied straight after the treatment, to help reduce any swelling. |
Will I need more than one appointment?
Lips and eyebrows usually need a second treatment within 8 weeks Eyeliner does not always need a second treatment, depending on the absorption of the pigments. |
Do I need a consultation?
Consultations are free. Sometimes clients combine the consultation and procedure into a single visit. They may be traveling from out of town, or have limited time off work. Others have a consultation and make a booking at a later date. |
Do I come in with or without make up?
Preferably without make up. You can draw your lipline or eyebrows before you come in, if you feel comfortable with that, so I can see what shape you like, or I can draw the brows or lipline on for you.
You can also bring your favorite lipsticks, lipliners, eyeliners and brow pencils, so we can decide on the colour.

Do I shave my eyebrows?
Most certainly not. Although we can change the shape of the brows, we try to keep the eyebrows as natural looking as possible. |
Am I too old to have cosmetic tattoo?
Cosmetic Tattoo is suitable for all ages. Especially the elderly find it hard to apply make up, but still want to look good. My clients range from 18 to 94. |
Do I have a choice of colour?
I mix my colors to match the desired color. There are over 100 shades to choose from. You can bring your favourite lipstick, eye - brow - lipline pencil, so I can match the colour as closely as possible. |
What is the difference between eyebrow-shading and eyebrow-hairstrokes?
Eyebrow- shading is a technique where coloured pigments are inserted into the skin of the eyebrow to achieve the desired shape.
Eyebrow –hairstokes is a very precise technique that requires skill and experience. With a special cosmetic-tattoo tool, coloured pigments are applied in small strokes in the shaped eyebrow. The results assemble natural brow hairs. This is a very popular treatment for those that don’t want solid shading.

What is the difference between eyeliner and lash-enhancement?
Eyeliner is a solid line which can be any thickness.
Lash enhancement can be applied to upper- or lower eyeliner and is a technique where coloured pigment is inserted in tiny little dots between the lashes, thus giving the eyes definition, without creating a line. Ideal for those that like a none make up look, but still require definition.

How can I keep my eyeshadow looking perfect all the time?
Shading can be done above the upper eyeliner or below the lower eyeliner. There is a range of exiting colours to choose from, taupe, browns, charcoal, blues, olive, greens, lilac, purple and violet.
Shading can enhance the colour of your eyes and transform your look, by giving it the “WOW” factor.

How can I enhance the cheek bones on my face?
Give yourself a healthy look with blusher , blush will be positioned on the cheeks to complement and enhance your face shape . Soft pinks warm pinks or orange tan colours available in Blush.

How do I get rid of unsightly tattoos that I have had done in the past?
Tattoo Removal Don’t wait any longer get rid of that unwanted tattoo, tattoo removal with the main ingredients calcium, magnesium and zinc oxides, are tattooed over your unwanted tattoo, the solution will combine with the old pigment and bring it to the surface. Usually 3 or 4 treatments are needed. |
Unsightly scars how do I cover them up?
Camouflage those unsightly scars, we treat the scar area with pigment that is a close match to your skin. We treat burns , open heart surgery scars, face lift scars, pigment spots, vitiligo, breast reduction or other scars.
